Comcast’s Xfinity internet service is suffering nationwide outages in regions across the US, according to Down Detector, tweets from multiple users. Service is either completely dead or only working partially in major parts of the northwest, California, New York state, Illinois, Michigan, Texas and Florida, according to Down Detector.
The first outages were reported around 1:40 a.m. ET, as noted by Engadget. Some people got text messages about routine system maintenance these noted that the disruption was expected to end at 6 a.m. ET. The company hasn’t made a general announcement yet.
