Xiaomi shows off Mi 10 phone design, confirms February 13th launch date

Xiaomi has officially announced the launch date for its highly anticipated Mi 10 series of smartphones on February 13th in China with a global launch to follow on February 23rd, the day before Mobile World Congress kicks off in Barcelona, Spain.

According to Xiaomi’s Weibo posts, the flagship lineup will be unveiled first in China. This will be an online-only launch, possibly because of the ongoing coronavirus outbreak in the country.

The Chinese launch of the Mi 10 series will be followed by a global unveiling in Barcelona, on February 23, a day ahead of MWC 2020.

The two models, which will reportedly be named the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, look to have four back cameras and, as is increasingly common, the curved screen has a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera.

Both the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro will reportedly get a 6.5-inch OLED curved display with a 90Hz refresh rate. A punch hole can be seen on the top left corner of the screen where the selfie camera will reside. As other companies pullout on their MWC plans out of coronavirus concerns, Xiaomi today reiterated that it will attend the conference.
