Apple’s smallest and largest iPhones have recently gone on sale – the iPhone 12 Mini and the iPhone 12 Pro Max and it seems like the former is in a spot of trouble.
Some early iPhone 12 Mini buyers have been reporting issues with their new handset. Users took to Reddit, MacRumours and Apple’s forum to report that the iPhone 12 Mini’s touchscreen is partly unresponsive at the lock screen,
A few users suspect the issue might come down to conduction or grounding. The issue sometimes appears to be fixed when the phone is plugged in or used without a case.
Apple has not commented on this as yet and it is not clear how “widespread” this problem might be. But with so many people complaining about it, it is clearly not an isolated incident. Whatever the reason might be for the issue, this is not good news for the iPhone many Apple fans see as a “standout model” in the new lineup.
