This is great news, if only because Super Nintendo games are just better–overall–than NES games. Not just the graphics, but the gameplay. The Super Nintendo remains one of my favorite consoles of all time.
And while I do have the retro Super NES Mini, it’ll be nice to play this on my Switch instead. For one thing, it has handheld mode. For another, many of these games will have new online components not available in the original.
Nintendo also announced a wireless Super NES controller exclusive to Online subscribers. That’s another advantage over the Super NES Mini with its USB controllers.
