The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G appears to be on the way

The Galaxy Tab S6 will soon be available with 5G, making it possibly the first tablet with the faster connectivity. As spotted by SamMobile, the Galaxy Tab S6 5G is listed as coming soon on Samsung’s Korean website, even though the company hasn’t officially announced the device yet. There’s no information about how much it will cost or any of its specs apart from the added 5G description at the end of the name. There’s also no timeline for its release.

As noted by the folks over at SamMobile, Samsung has used the exact same render for both the LTE and 5G versions of the Galaxy Tab S6 on its website, which seems to suggest the two models will be largely identical when it comes to tech specs. The Galaxy Tab S6 Wi-Fi and LTE versions run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB onboard storage.

Since the Galaxy Tab S6 5G has only been listed on the Samsung Korea website so far, it looks like the tablet will be going on sale in the company’s home country first. It will also likely be the world’s first 5G-enabled Android tablet, as no other company has confirmed any plans of launching a 5G tablet soon.

Samsung may introduce us to the Galaxy Tab S6 5G at CES 2020 at the start of January in Las Vegas plus the company is rumored to be hosting an event for the Galaxy S11 series in February where it may also speak about the product.
