Apple will allow customers to buy products including iPads, Macs, and AirPods, via monthly installment payments on the Apple Card, Bloomberg reported.
Apple is preparing to introduce the option of monthly installment plans for its Apple Card holders. The company had already begun offering a 24-month no-interest payment plan for the iPhone in 2019. However, this new roll-out will include monthly payment plan options for a slew of Apple products.
The report states that Apple will offer a 12-month payment plan for Macs, iPads, display monitors, and other peripheral devices, such as iPad keyboards and the Apple Pencil. A 6-month payment plan will be offered for the Apple TV, HomePod, and the popular AirPods. All of these plans are interest-free.
Bloomberg notes that Apple CEO Tim Cook had mentioned expanding its payment plan model during an earnings call in April.
Last year, Apple rolled out a 24-month, interest-free payment plan for iPhones purchased with an Apple Card, and gives 3 percent cash back.
Apple launched the Apple Card last August in partnership with Goldman Sachs. Users get a digital card connected to the Apple Wallet app and a physical card made of titanium.
