Apple’s MagSafe Duo charger will cost $129, but there’s no release date yet

Apple has revealed the price of its MagSafe Duo charger, which works with compatible iPhones, Apple Watch, the AirPods wireless charging case and other Qi-certified devices. The device costs $129, though it doesn’t include a power adaptor to plug it into a wall outlet. For that, Apple recommends a 20W USB-C adaptor, which it’s selling for $19.

MagSafe Duo can charge an iPhone 12 and Apple Watch (or any two supported Apple devices) simultaneously. You can fold it up for easier portability.

The charger isn’t available to order just yet, but at least you’ll know how much to set aside if you’d like to pick one up.

Given that a regular MagSafe charger costs $39 (plus $20 for the brick) and a USB-C Apple Watch charger costs $29 (plus $20 for the brick), you’re paying a fair amount extra for the convenience factor, although compared to the existing $79 Apple Watch charging dock that Apple sells, there’s at least a little more utility for the price.
