Leak shows that Sony’s noise-canceling earbuds could fit in your ears better

The first sighting of the Sony WF-1000XM4 may have appeared online. The WF-1000XM4 looks radically different compared to the WF-1000XM3. The leak from MyDrivers (via MySmartPrice) claims to show the sequel to Sony’s WF-1000XM3 it seems like a nice design upgrade.

The leaked image shows a copper accent cylinder that acts as a design flair similar to Sony’s 1000XM3 headphones or its modern, high-end Walkmans.

Incidentally, the WF-1000XM4 looks like the WF-XB700, which Sony released last year. The design shown here looks smaller though, while retaining the WF-1000XM3’s black and gold design. Additionally, it seems that the WF-1000XM4 has memory ear tips, another change from the WF-1000XM3.

It remains unclear when Sony plans to release a successor to the WF-1000XM3. At the time of writing, we cannot find any reference to WF-1000XM4 on regulatory bodies, such as the FCC. Hence, it seems that Sony is probably several months away from announcing the WF-1000XM4.
