Netflix has launched a new feature that will automatically download recommended TV shows and movies to your mobile device based on your tastes, as determined by your Netflix watch history. It’s optional, of course, but it sounds like it’s worth trying out.
Called Downloads for You, the feature is now available globally on Android and will be tested on iOS in the coming months.
You’ll need to opt in to use the feature. Once toggled on from the downloads tab, you’ll need to set how much space 1GB, 3GB, or 5GB you’ll want to use. More space equals more Netflix recommendations downloaded.
Netflix continues to improve its offline watching options; Netflix launched Smart Downloads on Android in 2018, which automatically deletes downloaded episodes after they’ve been watched.
